2013-09-18 15:34:38rev. 3ERROR FIXEDIt is correct only with condition that both views are from soldering side (not peripheral side).APPROVED
2013-10-06 16:25:54rev. 3CORRECTconnected a philips 5 pin to Phono, an old Philips D6330 cassette rec/player to modern equipment worked OKAPPROVED
2013-12-19 04:14:27rev. 4ERROR FIXEDActually the person saying that both views are soldering side was wrong. Wikipedia is relatively clear about this, saying "facing the pins/facing the holes". Otherwise the pin numbering doesn't match with the pictures here. It doesn't matter DIN to DIN, but it's a problem when making a DIN-to-RCA adapter because in and out are switched. I quadruple checked with a number of other sources and a storebought DIN-2-RCA adapter I have and a multimeter. The only confusion I had about the whole thing stemmed from the soldering side comment here.APPROVED

2021-01-25 10:07:05rev. 4INCORRECTHello! Thanks for your pages, very informative ! :) In the pin layout picture you should mention if the drawing is seen from solder side or pin side :). With best regards YH/Finland APPROVED
2023-01-04 20:25:29rev. 4CORRECTClueless document! Which pin constitutes PIN 1, is it from solder side or contact view of plug or socket. Could be pin 1 left hand viewing from pin tips or solder face. Typical nonsense we expect from the GERMANS.APPROVED
2023-11-12 18:26:40rev. 4CORRECTAll appears to work on my two se-ups with no problems. Brilliant format with clear/ concise info. Best found to date. Always was a doubter of user complexity, but now seems to overcome many of the errors in other works available!APPROVED
