INCORRECT | I disagree. I have been wiring DE-9s to DB-25s for years, on and off. Surely, the communications TXd and RXd lines should be crossed. The first column in the table shows DE-9 with RX data line on pin 3 and TX data line on pin 2. Should these not be reversed in the standard EIA-232D standard. However this is for the unusual application of a serial printer. Could this be a crucial difference? Please let me know as I am trying to modify a 9 to 25 serial cable at the moment so it works with my Print server Kyocera printer. | APPROVED
CORRECT | Looks right to me. The CD-DTR connection on the PC side is probably unnecessary, but might solve a few problems. | APPROVED

2013-02-13 16:56:58 | rev. 7 | ERROR FIXED | D-Sub 1 should be marked as DB-9 and D-Sub 2 should be marked as DB-25. Pin 2 is RxD and pin 3 is TxD on the DB-9. Pin 3 is RxD and pin 2 is TxD on DB-25. The table has pins 2 and 3 reversed. | APPROVED |
