2010-03-27 04:43:18 | rev. 3 | ERROR FIXED | There is a picture missing to show pin numbering. Pin 2 is not "No Connection" but is used by the remote to detect presence of the Nunchuk (pin 2 and 3 shorted in Nunchuk to give 3.3V back to remote when Nunchuk is connected). | APPROVED |
2019-07-07 20:48:58 | rev. 7 | ERROR FIXED | https://hackaday.com/2018/10/29/prototype-proves-wii-was-two-gamecubes-taped-together-all-along/ https://pinouts.ru/Slots/ieee1394_pinout.shtml As I told in my edit, it needs to be rotated a quarter like the 6p Firewire adapter it's based on, you'll see the power and groundpin fall into the right spot if you do so. 3->1 6->2 2->3 5->4 3->5 4->6. | APPROVED |

2024-06-26 23:51:26 | rev. 8 | INCORRECT | Two issues: shown plug/socket is not for Wii Nunchuck but FireWire. And pin numbering and description also do not match. Description for pin 3 suggests pin 2 should be 3.3 V but description of pin 1 says GND. The numbering itself also looks suspicious since it does not match any usual pin numbering schemes (along/across/clockwise/counterclockwise) but lacking a proper plug/socket picture this is just a guess. https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wiimote/Extension_Controllers has a picture of the plug with correct signal mapping. | WAITING FOR APPROVAL |

2019-07-08 10:44:35 | rev. 8 | kevincrans | Nunchuck connector is based on 6p firewire according to te prototype, so should be rotated. Now the location of Power and Ground matches, proving this is correct. |
