6 pin RJ12 (6P6C) male connector layout
6 pin RJ12 (6P6C) male connector
These connectors are used in headsets manufactured by SANAKO (formerly Tandberg) for use with videoconferencing and in school language labs.

There seems to be several different wire coloring systems (see below)

Pin
Number

Color Description (may be empty)
1 Blue Microphone signal
2 White Right audio channel
3 Red Left audio channel
4 Green Left ground
5 Yellow Right ground
6 Black

Microphone ground

 The pins on this headset use the same levels as a regular microphone and pair of stereo headphones; a simple adapter can be made using two 3.5mm barrel connectors.

On the headsets I have here the pinout is:

White & Green = common (ground)

Black = right audio

Red = left audio

Blue = mic. ground

Yellow = +ve voltage AND mic. audio
